Digital printing (DTG)

Rich in detail. Modern. Direct to fabric.

Digital printing (DTG – Direct to Garment) is a modern textile printing process where the design is printed directly onto the fabric. Similar to an inkjet printer, the ink is applied precisely to the fabric – ideal for detailed designs, color gradients, and small print runs.

What is Digital Printing (DTG)?

With the DTG process, the design is printed directly onto the garment without a screen or transfer film. The colors penetrate the fibers, resulting in a very soft feel.

DTG is particularly well suited for cotton and organic cotton.

How the DTG process works

  1. Fabric is pre-treated
  2. Design is digitally prepared
  3. Printer applies ink directly to fabric
  4. Ink is fixed with heat
  5. Finished, detailed print

This process enables high-resolution prints without elaborate preparation.

Features & Benefits of Digital Printing

  • Very detailed & precise
  • Ideal for color gradients & illustrations
  • Soft, barely noticeable surface
  • Perfect for small print runs
  • No minimum order quantity per design
  • Direct printing without films

DTG is the best choice for complex graphics and artistic designs.

What is Digital Printing particularly suitable for?

  • T-Shirts & Girlie Shirts
  • Longsleeves
  • Art & illustration designs
  • Photorealistic designs
  • Single items & small series

Especially for individual or limited designs, DTG excels.

Care & Durability

For a long lifespan:

  • Wash inside out
  • Low wash temperature
  • No dryer
  • Do not iron directly over the print

With proper care, the print remains clear & color-stable.

Digital Printing vs. Screen Printing
