Earth Positive - Production of textile blanks

Sustainable Production
We source our products with minimal environmental impact.
Beginning with raw material sourcing, full traceability of all fibers is guaranteed, and only 100% certified organic cotton from the Earth Positive® collection is used. Our blanks are made from hand-picked organic cotton, grown without harmful chemicals. This contributes to healthy soils and the well-being of farmers.
The factory is powered exclusively by clean, renewable energy from wind and solar power. Water is treated and reused – with no wastewater discharge. This keeps local systems free of harmful chemicals.
The ecological footprint is approximately 90% smaller than that of conventional clothing manufacturers.
Earth Positive is actively involved in the International Working Group for the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard, the Organic Content Standard, and the Global Recycled Standard.
Yarns and Fabrics
The quality of yarns and fabrics is the foundation for clothing of the highest quality.
As part of the vertically integrated manufacturing structure, the spinning process for almost 70% of all yarns used in production is controlled. The remaining yarns are carefully sourced from external suppliers. All yarns used are fully combed and ring-spun.
All fabrics are knitted in our own production facilities and dyed with GOTS-certified chemicals. Water-saving processes with controlled wastewater disposal are employed. Production is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I and complies with the REACH regulation.
Organic-certified fabrics are dyed in a zero-discharge dyehouse where all water is recycled in a closed loop.
Reducing the CO₂ Footprint
Since greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced to pre-industrial levels, all Earth Positive® products carry the registered "Climate Neutral" quality seal.
The CO₂ footprint (CO₂e) includes the total amount of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and other greenhouse gases released during cotton cultivation and harvesting, fiber processing, textile production, packaging, transport, and storage.
No CO₂ offsets are used. The CO₂ footprint calculations were certified between 2007 and 2009 by Carbon Trust Certifications in the UK.
The CO₂ footprint of Earth Positive® products has been reduced by approximately 90%. This is achieved through innovative product design, environmentally friendly organic cultivation, efficient production processes, and the replacement of conventional grid electricity with renewable wind energy.
A single Earth Positive® t-shirt saves about 7 kg of CO₂ equivalent compared to a conventional t-shirt, and a hoodie saves up to 28 kg.
“In January 2008, Earth Positive was the first company worldwide to calculate the CO2 footprint and apply the Carbon Reduction Label to textile products.”
